Uganda was deemed "The Pearl of Africa" by Sir Winston Churchill in a travel book he published in 1909. More than 100 years later, the country still lives up to it's reputation. Beautiful people, gorgeous landscapes, and a work force of ambitious, creative tradesmen eager to leave their mark on the world. At The Pearly Gates Company, our mission is to shed light on these masters of perimeter architecture and bring their works of art to the American Inland Northwest, where local experts will deliver, install and automate.
A Friendship Across Continents
The Pearly Gates Company was born out of a unique friendship that spans almost 9,000 miles. I met Thomasmore by chance, one week before Covid shut down the world, and a bond was formed that has grown into an ambitious venture between dear friends.
The first time Thomas hosted me in Uganda I fell in love with many aspects of the country, but I was fascinated by the perimeter architecture. There were beautiful gates and fences everywhere. I couldn’t get enough, and we talked about them long after I had returned home after my stay. It has been my goal ever since to share the craftsmanship of the Ugandan people with America and the rest of the world. And so in 2026, The Pearly Gates Company was born.

International Transport Capabilities
Ocean Freight
The primary mode for our Uganda-to-USA shipments. Airways operates as an FMC-licensed NVOCC with access to over 250 worldwide ports, covering both full container (FCL) and less-than-container (LCL) loads.
Breakbulk & oversize handling available - flat rack, open-top, high cube, and roll-on/roll-off carriers for non-standard gate and fencing configurations. Shipment planning, letters of credit, licensing, and cargo inspections included.
Air Freight
For time-sensitive components or hardware supplements, Airways' international air forwarding capabilities offer global reach with the same personal oversight applied to every shipment. Schedule flexibility with no cutoffs or lock-out constraints.
AES filing, customs registration, export/import clearance, ISF security filings, TSA compliance documentation, and certificates of origin are managed in-house. ACE Certified / NEI CCS certified.
Inland Delivery
Once cargo clears U.S. customs, Airways coordinates last-mile overland delivery directly to the project site. Exclusive-use vehicles, flat beds, heavy haul, and oversized freight services ensure even the largest custom gate panels reach their destination intact.
Full truckload, LTL, and continuous-move options. In-house customs clearance on arrival with remote filing capability across all U.S. ports of entry.
Customs & Trade Compliance
The international movement of structural ironwork and ornamental metalwork demands meticulous customs classification and documentation compliance. Airways provides customs classification assistance, AES filing, ISF security filings, and full documentation services - including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, consular legalizations, and cargo labeling - ensuring that each Pearly Gates shipment clears under the correct HS codes (7308.30, 7308.90, 7326.90) with zero compliance exposure. Airways holds membership in the NCBFAA and the Trade Support Network.
